This first supply of imagery covers imagery captured 20-21 February 2023.

This dataset is a 'draft' dataset. No DTM or ortho edits have been undertaken therefore some image distortion can be expected. It will continue to be updated as new imagery becomes available from the supplier. The final orthos will be updated once all capture is complete. These final orthos will be fully colour balanced and edited.

Data comprises:
• 426 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:5000 tile layout.
• Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.

The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. Please refer to the tile index layer for specific details, naming conventions, etc.

Imagery was captured for Manawatū-Whanganui LASS Ltd by Aerial Surveys Ltd, Unit A1, 8 Saturn Place, Albany 0632, New Zealand.

Data comprises:

This 0.5m resolution satellite imagery was captured 21st February 2023 NZDT by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co Ltd and supplied by Critchlow Geospatial.

Data comprises:

This 0.5m resolution satellite imagery was captured 21st February 2023 NZDT by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co Ltd and supplied by Critchlow Geospatial. LINZ processed this R G B version of supplied B G R NIR satellite imagery for publishing on the LINZ Data Service and Basemaps, see Lineage statement in the Metadata for more details.

The NZ Imagery Survey Index dataset provides an index to all orthophoto index tiles found on the LINZ Data Service. Each record in the dataset provides both a geometry of the maximum extent of the orthophoto index, as well as all attributes found in each index tile. This dataset therefore provides information to assess orthophoto coverage and metadata across the entire country.

The imagery data referenced by this dataset is available on the LINZ Data Service.

This imagery was captured by the European Space Agency Sentinel-2 satellites between the 18th-21st February 2023 NZDT. Published here as a part of the response to the severe weather emergency event of Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023. Timing of this imagery capture was after the worst of the flooding.

Data comprises:
• 242 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:50000 tile layout.
• Satellite sensors: ESA Sentinel-2A
• Spectral resolution: R, G, B
• Spatial resolution: 10 meters
• Radiometric resolution: 8-bits (downsampled from 12-bits)

This is a visual product only. The data has been downsampled from 12-bits to 8-bits, and the original values of the images have been modified for visualisation purposes.
