This Protected Area Layer contains land and marine areas, most of which are administered by the Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) and are protected by the Conservation, Reserves, National Parks, Marine Mammal and Marine Reserves Acts. All of the areas have been identified spatially. The attributes in this dataset are derived from the National Property and Land Information System (NaPALIS), which is a centralised database for all DOC and LINZ administered land.
The boundaries for most protected areas are derived from the Landonline Primary Parcel(s). In some cases, the boundaries may have been based on unsurveyed parcels defined to varying degrees of accuracy. As such please note that the boundaries are indicative only.
The dataset includes reserves but it is not a complete set. Privately owned reserves are excluded from the dataset as they are not crown land. Also, the dataset does not contain a complete list of reserves “vested” in Local Authorities or “controlled and managed” by other organisations. The dataset is continually being updated however as errors or omissions are discovered and new land transactions are completed.
The Department cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information but rather it represents best endeavours to maintain an accurate record of conservation land.

Orthophotography within the Auckland Region captured in January and February 2022. Coverage encompasses selected rural areas north, west and south west of Auckland and parts of the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana.
Imagery was captured for Auckland Council by AAM NZ Ltd, 6 Ossian St, Napier, New Zealand.
Data comprises:
• 5620 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:1000 tile layout
• Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.
The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection.
Imagery supplied as 7.5cm pixel resolution (0.075m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is ±0.15m at 95% confidence level in clear flat areas.

This layer contains the DSM for LiDAR data in the Wellington Region for Upper Hutt City, captured in 2021.
The DEM is available as layer Wellington - Upper Hutt City LiDAR 1m DEM (2021).
The index tiles are available as layer Wellington - Upper Hutt City LiDAR Index Tiles (2021).
The LAS point cloud and vendor project reports are available from OpenTopography.
LiDAR was captured for Upper Hutt City Council by AAM Ltd on 25 March and 27 March 2021. These datasets were generated by AAM and their subcontractors. Data management and distribution is by Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand.
Data comprises:
