This layer contains the DSM for LiDAR data from the Rangiora area captured in 2014.
The DEM is available as layer Canterbury - Rangiora LiDAR 1m DEM (2014).
The index tiles are available as layer Canterbury - Rangiora LiDAR Index Tiles (2014).
The LAS point cloud and vendor project reports are available from OpenTopography.

Lidar was captured for Waimakariri District Council and Environment Canterbury Regional Council by Aerial Surveys in March – June 2014. The datasets were generated by Aerial Surveys and their subcontractors. The survey area includes the Rangiora township area and the lower Ashley, Eyre, and Waimakariri river channels. Data management and distribution is by Land Information New Zealand.

Data comprises:
•DEM: tif or asc tiles in NZTM2000 projection, tiled into a 1:1,000 tile layout
•DSM: tif or asc tiles in NZTM2000 projection, tiled into a 1:1,000 tile layout
•Point cloud: las tiles in NZTM2000 projection, tiled into a 1:1,000 tile layout

Orthophotography in the Waimakariri District Council area taken in the flying season (summer period) 2015-16.
Coverage is of urban areas within the Waimakariri District.

Imagery was captured for the ‘Waimakariri District Council' by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand.

Data comprises:

  • 1,116 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:500 tile layout.
  • Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.

The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:500 tiles.

Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc.

Imagery supplied as 7.5cm pixel resolution (0.075m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF.

The final spatial accuracy is ±0.2m @ 90% confidence level in clear open spaces.
