Orthophotography over Invercargill City taken on 07 February 2016.

Imagery was captured for the ‘Invercargill City Council’ by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand.

Data has subsequently been provided to LINZ and this comprises:
• 1,695 x ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:1,000 tile layout
•Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.

The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:1,000 tiles. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc.

Imagery supplied as 10cm pixel resolution (0.1m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is +/-0.2m @ 90% Confidence Level,

A buoy is a floating object moored to the bottom in a particular place, as an aid to navigation or for other specific purposes. A cardinal buoy is used in conjunction with the compass to indicate where the mariner may find the best navigable water. It is placed in one of the four quadrants (North, East, South and West), bounded by inter-cardinal bearings from the point marked.

The Stewart Island 1977 to NZVD2016 Conversion Raster provides users with a two arc-minute (approximately 3.6 kilometres) raster image of the conversion of normal-orthometric heights from the Stewart Island 1977 local vertical datum to the New Zealand Vertical Datum 2016 (NZVD2016).

The conversion value is represented by the attribute “O”, in metres.
This conversion and NZVD2016 are formally defined in the LINZ standard LINZS25009.

The height conversion grid models the difference between the Stewart Island 1977 vertical datum and NZVD2016 using the LINZ GPS-levelling marks. From the GPS-levelling marks the expected accuracy is better than 2 centimetres (95% Confidence interval).

More information on converting heights between vertical datums can be found on the LINZ website.
