Project Aerial photography was captured over the urban areas in the Christchurch City totalling approximately 524 km2. The areas of capture are located in the Canterbury Region of the South Island.
Data Acquisition Aerial photography was captured using Vexcel's digital UCE camera: 5-6 November, 2018, 17 December 2018, 24 December 2018, 27 January 2019, 9 February 2019, 26 March 2019.
Ground Support New/existing control and LINZ benchmarks were used for aerial triangulation.
Camera All photography was captured using Vexcel's digital UCE camera and flown at: 0.075 m GSD: 4,732 ft (1,441 m) flying height Camera Lens: 100 mm
Sun Angle Imagery captured with a sun angle between 43.8 and 69.1 degrees
Environmental Specification Imagery captured with no cloud or cloud shadow within the area of interest. Coastal and harbour areas captured within two hours either side of low tide.
Urban Building Displacement Specification Urban 0.075 m GSD imagery – by flying with 60% forward overlap and with 35% sidelap (standard stereo coverage), 1 m building lean per 3 m height in the corners of the imagery. Christchurch CBD and University of Canterbury areas flown with 80% forward with 80% sidelap to achieve <0.37 m per 3 m height over areas with tall buildings.
