Orthophotography within the Tasman District rural area totalling approximately 6342 km2. The area of capture is located within the Tasman region of the South Island, and captured in the flying seasons (summer period) 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.
Imagery was captured for Tasman District Council by Aerial Surveys Ltd, Unit A1, 8 Saturn Place, Albany,0632, New Zealand.
Data comprises:
• 734 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:5,000 tile layout
•Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.
The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. Please refer to the supplied tile layout for specific details, naming conventions, etc.
Imagery supplied as 30cm pixel resolution (0.3m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is ±0.5 m @ 95% confidence level.
Project
Aerial photography was captured over a single rural area in the Tasman District totalling
approximately 6342 km2. The areas of capture are located in the Tasman region of the
South Island.
Data Acquisition
The aerial photography for this project was captured within the 2019/20 flying season on the following dates: 16 January 2020, 11 February 2020, 14 March 2020, 30 April 2020, 1 December 2020, 16 December 2020.
Camera
All photography was captured using Vexcel's digital UCE camera fitted with the 100 mm lens and flown at: 0.3 m GSD: 18,900 ft (5,760 m) flying height.

Imagery captured with a sun angle between 30.9 to71.3 degrees
