A form of dry dock consisting of a floating structure of one or more sections which can be partly submerged by controlled flooding to receive a vessel, then raised by pumping out the water so that the vessel's bottom can be exposed.

This data was compiled for the use in the scale range 1:4,000 to 1:22,000.

This data is based on the S-57 data format used in Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) published and maintained by the New Zealand Hydrographic Authority at Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). Refer to the following link for information about S-57 data: http://www.linz.govt.nz/hydro/regulation/
The hydrographic data available through the LINZ Data Service is based on official Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) published by the New Zealand Hydrographic Authority.
Prior to loading onto this service, the S-57 data from these ENCs is converted to shapefile format.

1. Overview, 1:1.5mil and smaller
2. General, 1:350k - 1:1,500k
3. Coastal, 1:90k - 1:350k
4. Approach, 1:22k - 1:90k
5. Harbour, 1:4k - 1:22k
