Orthophotography for the Tasman region taken in the flying season (summer period) of 2015-2016. Covering the area from Collingwood, Takaka, Motueka, Mapua to south-east of Nelson City.

Imagery was captured for the ‘Tasman District Council’ by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand.


Data has subsequently been provided to LINZ and this comprises:
• 334 x ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:5,000 tile layout
•Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.

The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:5,000 tiles. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc.

Imagery supplied as 30cm pixel resolution (0.3m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is +/-1.2m @ 90% confidence level.

Statement

Project:
AAM was engaged by Tasman District Council to acquire aerial photography and create 0.3m
GSD orthophotography over ~3,000 sq km of Tasman in the 2015-16 flying season.

Acquisition:
Aerial photography was acquired from a fixed wing aircraft on between 13
November 2015 and 9 January 2016.

Ground Support:
GPS base station support was sourced from continuously operating
reference stations in and around the project area. Ground control points were field surveyed by
Sounds Surveying Ltd.

Minimum Sun Angle <30 Degrees.
Tidal Contraints - Within 1.5 hours of low tide
Horizontal Datum - NZDG2000/NZTM
Vertical Datum - Nelson 1955
