Auckland 0.075m Urban Aerial Photos (2017)
Orthophotography of urbans areas within Auckland taken in the flying seasons (summer period) 2016-17.
Imagery was captured for the ‘Auckland Council’ by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand.
Data comprises: •7,801 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:1,000 tile layout •Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.
The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. The products are tiled into NZTopo50 1:1,000 tiles. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc.
Imagery supplied as 7.5cm pixel resolution (0.075m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is ± 0.15m @ 90% confidence level.

Project AAM was engaged by Auckland Council to undertake aerial survey over Auckland during the 2016-2017 flying season. Auckland CBD required “True Ortho” type image rectification, for this purpose photography was captured with a ZI Imaging large format camera from a fixed wing aircraft on the 16 March 2017. Conventional orthophotos were required over the wider Auckland area, and merged with the CBD coverage. Photography over the wider Auckland area was captured with a VisionMap A3 Edge camera from a fixed wing aircraft between 15 March and 6 May 2017. (100% of the project area was produced in the 2016-17 season).
This dataset was produced to meet the project spatial accuracy specification of +/- 15 cm. This dataset is supplied in NZTM projection, in LINZ Topo50 1:1000 tiles.
