Orthophotography in the Gisborne District taken in the flying seasons (summer period) 2017-2019.
Imagery was captured for Gisborne District Council by AAM NZ Limited, 6 Ossian St, NAPIER, New Zealand
Data comprises:
•1128 ortho-rectified RGB GeoTIFF images in NZTM projection, tiled into the LINZ Standard 1:5000 tile layout
•Tile layout in NZTM projection containing relevant information.
The supplied imagery is in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM) map projection. Please refer to the supplied tile layout shape file for specific details, naming conventions, etc.
Imagery supplied as 30cm pixel resolution (0.30m GSD), 3-band (RGB) uncompressed GeoTIFF. The final spatial accuracy is ±2 m @ 90% confidence level.

Project
AAM was engaged by Gisborne District Council to undertake Aerial Photography and produce
orthophotos in 2017-2019.
Aerial photography was captured over approximately 70% of the Rural area between 12
December 2017 and 28 October 2019.
Aerial photography was acquired from a fixed wing aircraft using a large format
digital camera.
GPS base station support was sourced from GeoNet and Geosystems
CORS operating in the Gisborne Region. Ground control points were field surveyed by Sounds
Surveying Ltd.
