This dataset is a collection of individual hydrographic charts for the Southern Ocean and Ross Sea Dependency region, and has been designed to provide a quick way to group, view and/or download charts within this region.

Note: This set contains charts at a variety of scales. Use of LDS web map tile services for this set is not recommended as the scaled charts overlap.

All charts are available for individual download through the LINZ Data Service, and will be updated as new data becomes available.

These charts are based on the official Raster Navigational Chart series produced by the New Zealand Hydrographic Authority, available on the LINZ website.

THIS DATA DOES NOT REPLACE NAUTICAL CHARTS AND MUST NOT BE USED FOR NAVIGATION.

The online New Zealand Chart Catalogue provides more detailed and the most up to date information about New Zealand charts: New Zealand Chart Catalogue.

Information on symbols and abbreviations used on nautical charts: Symbols and Abbreviations.

Please read: This dataset is comprised of multiple layers and tables from the Full Landonline Dataset and is designed for use only by data professionals who require the complex version of our property ownership and boundary data for advanced uses. For simplified versions of the more commonly used data, see our simplified data layers.

The dataset includes data related to nodes and survey monuments (marks), and to survey and geodetic adjustments that have been carried out within Landonline, and enables you to download multiple layers and tables at the same time.

Please refer to the LDS Full Landonline Data Dictionary and Models for detailed metadata about data in this dataset.

Please read: This comprehensive roads dataset includes eight data tables and eleven lookup tables. The dataset has been sourced from LINZ’s NZ Roads database, a database for the management of national roads, including those managed for addressing purposes.

The centrelines within this set are required to indicate the presence of an authoritative road name. These road centrelines do not represent actual road formation, nor do they represent legal access. They must not be considered as topographic, cadastral, or legal.

This set of normalised tables replaces the Landonline: Road Centre Line layer and the Landonline: Road Name and Landonline: Road Name Association tables.

The Landonline road and address datasets will be available until May 2017 to allow users further time to transition.

For a simplified version of the data contained within these tables see NZ Roads (Addressing), which aggregates geometries based on road name, and NZ Roads Subsections (Addressing), which holds the individual geometries.

Please refer to the NZ Roads Data Dictionary for detailed metadata and information about this set.

The dataset includes data related to the administration of Landonline data. They are generally small in size and are typically those which are required by more than one dataset.
This dataset enables you to download multiple layers and tables at the same time.

Important

This dataset has been replaced by the NZ Roads (Addressing) Set and the AIMS: Street Address Set.

See NZ Roads Data Dictionary and Street Address Data Dictionary for field mappings to the new datasets.

The dataset includes data related to the road, address, and place names stored in Landonline. This data is stored and maintained for electoral purposes, however, it is also used in Landonline for spatial searching and location.

Road centreline and street address data is popular with a broad range of clients, however, both road centrelines and street address should be used with a degree of caution. Road centrelines in Landonline are currently used as a mechanism to display authoritative road names along legal road corridors and do not purport to represent what exists on the ground. Similarly Landonline’s street addresses represent the principal addresses assigned by Territorial Authorities, and seldom include addresses assigned to individual flats, or addresses that differ from those which have been officially assigned.

This dataset enables you to download multiple layers and tables at the same time.

Please refer to the LDS Full Landonline Data Dictionary and Models for detailed metadata about data in this dataset.
