This table records the sequence of lines that define a PRI "Parcel Ring". In the sequence, a line may or may not be reversed in order for the line to connect to the next line in terms of end nodes. The sequence begins at 1 and is incremented by 1. If the line sequence is a ring (as specified in PRI), the start and end nodes of the sequence must be the same, after the reverse flag has been applied to all lines in the sequence. Not all line sequences for a parcel ring are actually rings, however, as in the case of easement and walkway centreline parcels (i.e. parcels with a topology class of type "LINE"). For polygonal parcels (i.e. rings), the area occupied by the parcel must be on the right-hand side of the boundary at all times; this means that exterior rings will be defined in a clockwise direction (as specified by the coordinates of the nodes/vertices of the lines after reverse flag is applied), whereas interior rings will be defined in an anti-clockwise direction.

Survey provides details that identify the type of survey, the purpose, and who is involved with giving authorization, preparation and taking responsibility for Work when it is lodged with Land Information NZ. For example : The Surveyor who generates a survey dataset is responsible for the accuracy, definition and completeness and provides the details of the purpose for carrying out the work.

This dataset was last updated on LINZ Data Service on 11 Oct 2015.

In June 2014, LINZ moved the information from the Authoritative Streets and Places database (ASP) into Landonline and the ASP database is no longer maintained.

This table identifies other names for a street or place record by linking to the SUFI of the other name. This allows multiple associations if applicable. Only one record is stored for each name/other_name combination, i.e. there is no reverse entry for any two SUFI’s.

This table is part of the Authoritative Streets and Places (ASP) Database. For more information about the database including the data model see here.

Notes:

  • The Alias field was added during the conversion and all records were initially set to N (No). This field will be set if relevant when editing existing records or adding new records. The values for other records will be set when time permits.

This table contains place part records for every electoral subdivision of a place, i.e. for every valid combination of territorial authority, general electoral, & maori electoral districts that apply to the place name concerned. Some times additional parts may be created for clarity e.g. if the same combination exists in disconnected areas covered by the same place name.

This table is part of the Authoritative Streets and Places (ASP) Database. For more information about the database including the data model see here.

Notes:

  • This table is recreated each time a new set of electoral boundaries takes effect (every 5 years). Prior to its replacement, a copy of the entire database is made and retained off-line to allow a mini Index to Places & Streets to be produced in the event of a by-election (by-elections are conducted on the same boundaries as the previous General election). The archival copy is deleted once the next General election has been held.

10 Feb 2015

This dataset was first added to LINZ Data Service on 10 Feb 2015.

In June 2014 the Authoritative Streets and Places (ASP) database was decommissioned, and at the same time a new Landonline SUFI was created for each unique road name / locality combination in the Landonline Road Name table.
Prior to this change the Landonline Road Name table held the ASP Street SUFI in its Locality field, and a join was made between these two tables in order to populate the Landonline Locality field with the ASP locality name prior to release on the LDS.
Following this change the Locality field in the Landonline Road Name table was updated to show the locality name as held in the ASP Street table.
This table shows the mapping between the new Landonline Road Name SUFI and the old ASP Street SUFI.
The Topo50 Road Centrelines data previously included the name_id attribute (equivalent to asp_sufi), which has now been changed to the new rna_sufi attribute (equivalent to landonline_sufi).

Statistical Areas are areas definable as an aggregation of meshblocks. The areas defined here are those that are required for electoral purposes, e.g. territorial authorities, general electorates, and maori electorates. This unload only contains TA entries, that may be linked to a Survey plan.

This table is a lookup table identifying valid NZMS 260 sheet references.

This table is part of the Authoritative Streets and Places (ASP) Database. For more information about the database including the data model see here.

Notes:

  • The NZMS260 map series has been replaced by the newer Topo50 map series. If you would like to see the relationship between the NZMS 260 and Topo50 sheet extents see here and here
  • This table contains a static unique identifier 'id' column that is not part of the original published ASP database. This column has been added to support incremental changesets on LDS. There is a direct relationship between this column and the original primary key on the 'map_id' column.
