Please read: This is the look-up table for Road Name Suffix and is part of the set of NZ Roads tables.

The Road Name Suffix look-up table is used by the following tables; NZ Roads: Addressing Road Name.

The NZ Roads dataset includes eight data tables and eleven lookup tables. The dataset has been sourced from LINZ’s NZ Roads database, a database for the management of national roads, including those managed for addressing purposes. This set of normalised tables replaces the Landonline: Road Centre Line layer and the Landonline: Road Name and Landonline: Road Name Association tables currently published on LDS.

These centrelines are required to indicate the presence of an authoritative road name. Named centrelines are not intended to represent the exact location of a road formation. Named centrelines do not indicate the presence of legal access.

For a simplified version of the data contained within these tables see NZ Roads (Addressing), which aggregates geometries based on road name, and NZ Roads Subsections (Addressing), which holds the individual geometries.

Please refer to the NZ Roads Data Dictionary for detailed metadata and information about this layer.

This table is used to describe the many to many relationship between surveys and parcels. This is a table to link NZ Survey Plans data with spatial parcel layers such as NZ Parcels, NZ Linear Parcels or NZ Primary Parcels.

An affected parcel is a parcel which is affected by the approval of a survey dataset. A parcel may be affected, created or extinguished. For example, a survey can affect extinguish parcels by rendering them historical and at the same time may create new parcels (subdivision). Parcels may be affected by a survey but remain current (definition of an easement etc).

For more information about this table and other tables and layers that make up this dataset refer to the support documentation.

Survey provides details that identify the type of survey, the purpose, and who is involved with giving authorization, preparation and taking responsibility for Work when it is lodged with Land Information NZ. For example : The Surveyor who generates a survey dataset is responsible for the accuracy, definition and completeness and provides the details of the purpose for carrying out the work.

This dataset was last updated on LINZ Data Service on 11 Oct 2015.

In June 2014, LINZ moved the information from the Authoritative Streets and Places database (ASP) into Landonline and the ASP database is no longer maintained.

This table contains names that refers to a geographic area, and that can be used in lieu of, or to localise or refine, a street address.

A place record will exist for every name that is considered to fit this definition, including any alias or alternative names that also fit this definition.

This table is part of the Authoritative Streets and Places (ASP) Database. For more information about the database including the data model see here.

Notes:

  • Some reports generated from ASP require the PLACE_NAME+ LOCALITY+STATUS combination to be unique, so validation rules have been put in place to enforce this.
  • The locality names currently used in the PLACES table are not ideal, and are considered a work in progress. The main function of LOCALITY in ASP is to achieve uniqueness, and where 2 places of the same name exist, to be able to differentiate between them.

This table records the sequence of lines that define a PRI "Parcel Ring". In the sequence, a line may or may not be reversed in order for the line to connect to the next line in terms of end nodes. The sequence begins at 1 and is incremented by 1. If the line sequence is a ring (as specified in PRI), the start and end nodes of the sequence must be the same, after the reverse flag has been applied to all lines in the sequence. Not all line sequences for a parcel ring are actually rings, however, as in the case of easement and walkway centreline parcels (i.e. parcels with a topology class of type "LINE"). For polygonal parcels (i.e. rings), the area occupied by the parcel must be on the right-hand side of the boundary at all times; this means that exterior rings will be defined in a clockwise direction (as specified by the coordinates of the nodes/vertices of the lines after reverse flag is applied), whereas interior rings will be defined in an anti-clockwise direction.

Please refer to the LDS Full Landonline Data Dictionary and Models for detailed metadata about this table.
